Dr. Anagha A. Heroor

Dr. Anagha Heroor is a Consulting Ophthalmic Surgeon with her own practice at Anil Eye Hospital, Dombivli, since 1997. She is also an Honorary Ophthalmic Surgeon at Manav Kalyan Kendra, Dombivli.

Dr. Heroor excelled in academics right from her school days. Later she bagged the First Rank in Bombay University at the Third Year MBBS examination in 1992, winning 12 prizes including Gold/Silver Medals. She continued her string of First Ranks, either in her college or in the city of Mumbai, for the DOMS, MS and FCPS examinations as well.

Professionally, Dr. Anagha Heroor's special interests include Glaucoma, Cataract & Lasik. She has been performing Lasik surgery since the last 10 years. She has conducted many eye camps in Dombivli and adjoining rural areas of Dativili and Kamba villages. She also conducts eye camps in the schools and colleges of Dombivli, for the early detection of visual disorders in children and teenagers.

Vision Screening Camps to rule our Cataract, Glaucoma and Diabetic retinopathy are a regular feature at Anil Eye Hospital, which also publishes a magazine called Netram annually, to promote awareness about Ophthalmic advances among family physicians and consultants from other specialities.

In her spare time, Dr. Anagha Heroor writes poetry in Hindi, Marathi and English, and plays the harmonium and keyboards.
